With antique trade bead necklaces. These
twin totems were carved for twins and then perhaps kept at a
family altar. They look like they have been rubbed, and there
are traces of indigo on their heads.

Mahongwe reliquary
A reliquary is a guardian placed among the bones
of a revered ancestor. Tuned to the spirit world, its face is concave
and receptive like a satallite dish, and covered with alligned strips
of copper. The eyes are wide open.
